Five Minute Friday - Grow

It's that time of week again.  Joining up with Gypsy Mama for Five Minute Friday.  Time to stop, drop and write.  Today she asks for our best five minutes on:

Ready?  GO!

At this very moment, something is growing.
Right here, right now.
In you
and me.

or hate

or resentment

or fear

or disease

or doubt

or complacency

It grows
nurtured or neglected
an untamed weed
or prolific garden.

We feed it
fuel it
for better or worse.

What are you growing?

  1. wow! well said sister. way to make me think!

  2. Hi! Just stopping by from Five Minute Friday. I love your take on the word Grow! Such a good reminder that whether we like it or not, something IS growing in us.

  3. Hi Kim,

Hopping over from 5MF...loved how you reminded us that we are all growing something each day. I am praying that I am growing in my love for God and for others and that it reflects in how I live.

Blessings on your journey of growth!

  4. Great, great five minute post. So true and so relevant. Praying to be growing whatever is true, noble, right, pure, and lovely! (Philippians 4:8)

  5. Yeah - I think I'm growing some serious weeds these days ...sigh ...deep sigh...

  6. Vanessa,

If there's one thing I know about you - you have a heart of gold. Still, we all grow weeds. The trick is pulling them up from the root so they don't grow back.

    Love you, friend!

  7. Great thoughts. There are many things I need to grow in my "garden". I have been trying so hard to grow an avocado tree from a seed. I have seen my dad do it all my life. So far, no success. Maybe I should ask my dad! ;) The things I need to grow I can learn to do so from people we have seen do it before. Instead I INSIST on doing it on my own. You have a lot of great "gardening" tips that I always look forward to. Thanks Kim!
